The Third Day of the UMM National Jamboree-The series of National Jamboree activities continued with a media counseling competition. The competition which lasted a total of 10 minutes took place at the UMM Basement Dome (7/9). The first five minutes are for preparing the extension media and the next 5 minutes for presenting the media that has been made before. Before making the media, the whole team took the theme provided by the jury.
Deniyati, the coordinator of the team from NTB presented the media with the theme "Functions of Socialization and Education in the Family with the Target of Bride-to-be". According to Deniyati, marriage is a very sacred thing for everyone. "In the media that we make, there is a picture of a house in which there are parents with two children. Family is the first and foremost place to raise the younger generation," said Deniyati.
Considering the insufficient time and the number of teams that appeared, the media counseling competition was continued on the third day which also took place at the UMM Dome Theater (8/7). Eleven provinces that have not yet shown their teeth had the opportunity to share the themes they had obtained in front of the participants and the jury. The provinces are East Java, DKI Jakarta, Bangka Belitung, West Papua, North Sulawesi, South Sulawesi, North Sumatra, Central Java, Jambi, Lampung and Central Sulawesi. After representatives from each province, the event continued with performances from the three provinces that had the opportunity to appear. Central Kalimantan Province performed solo and acoustic songs, Lampung with its poetry and declamations, while Papua was able to sing Aku Papua, Sajojo, and Yamko Rambe Yamko with great fanfare which made all participants sing and dance together.
With acoustics guided by Rudy Ngiv, a participant from the Papua High School of Communication, all participants and companions were able to follow the rhythm of the song he was bringing. Not only on the spot, not a few participants and companions came forward to stand up and then sing and dance together. "We always work with heart. What we feel, that's what we express. For example, it can be through songs,” he said.
The third semester student admitted that he did not have any plans for his performance. His invitation to invite the audience to sing and dance was spontaneous. Not only that, at the end of the performance, all group companions came forward to sing together. The song Here, Happy There, Happy and Intimacy closed the third day's performance.
After the Media Counseling competition, the Cheerful Smart Competition became the second competition on the third day. In the Cheerful Smart Contest, groups from each province divide tasks to place participants in posts. There are five posts that must be completed by group representative participants. The first post is called matched cards. At this post there are two tables placed far apart. One table contains problem papers, and one table contains answer papers. Participants are required to match the existing problems and answers. Meanwhile, the second post is the mading post. Participants were given the task of making a bulletin about PUP (Marriage Age Maturity) using the tools and materials that were already available. Within seven minutes, participants are required to complete the bulletin.
It doesn't stop there, in the third post, there is a guessing monopoly post called Triad Genre. Like playing monopoly, participants are required to roll the dice and the numbers chosen have questions that must be answered by the participants. Fourth post, test about life skills. Two participants from one group are faced with a jury who will give multiple choice question and answer questions. Participants who answer correctly will be given one hundred points, while participants who are wrong will be given zero points. And finally post five. At this post, participants are required to show off by singing their yells. mom/lia
