COUNSELING GUIDANCE
Counseling Guidance Technical Service Unit (UPT BK) is a student service facility assisting and handling psychological problems and study obstacles at UMM. Guidance and Counseling Technical Service Unit, in the management of their duties, provides services in the form of:
(a) Guidance; the activity of helping the academic community to recognize their potential, understand the environment and overcome obstacles or problems that could interfere with achieving life goals (the future). This activity can take the form of dissemination of information (bulletins), psychological assessments, discussions, review of films and cases, training, workshops, talk shows, and seminars, as well as other activities aimed at helping the academic community understand themselves and their environment.
(b) Counseling is a relationship between counselor and counselee designed to help counselees (clients) solve problems together and make meaningful choices for themselves. Counseling can be done individually, family, or group. Counseling is carried out by experts in the field of counseling (professional counselors) and assisted by psychologists (for psychological examinations). We even prepare peer counselors for peer counseling activities.
