Students at the University of Muhammadiyah Malang have heterogeneous backgrounds, this has an impact on the pattern of developing students' interests, talents and hobbies. It should be noted that students have certain preferences, hobbies, interests, talents and interests. Interests are psychic impulses or motives that cause a person to feel happy about everything he is interested in. Interest also describes an aesthetic image of taste which then becomes part of each person's personality. Hobby is a form of expression of interest. Someone feels happy and satisfied when he does an activity that he really likes. Interests, talents and hobbies are psychological needs that need to be fulfilled, so they require a pattern of coaching and direction so that they become positive potentials that support student academic achievement. In studying, students will not escape these psychological needs. Interests, talents and hobbies of students can be realized through role playing. Role play is a kind of social role that encourages excitement when students play certain roles well. Students who play soccer, badminton, or other artistic activities will feel happy and happy when their team or themselves win a match or competition. He will be admired by those who pay attention to his role. For this reason, coaching in the field of talent interest is an effort to build conducive conditions and situations on campus so that students can develop their potentials, get encouragement or motivation from their social environment, and can spur their own achievements. On the other hand, through these various activities, it is conditioned how students learn to interact and communicate with the community/world of work, so that students will become more familiar with the place and will return later. The form of coaching in this field is in the form of institutionalizing student activities into activity units.
